Introducing Coach Darrell, a dedicated mentor and enthusiast deeply rooted in the world of Fastpitch Softball, who brings a wealth of experience both on and off the field and is Competitive Intro Certified.

Coaching Highlights:

Passionate for coaching softball, Coach Darrell, has made significant impacts in his four years of coaching. In 2023, he served as Kaizen’s Head Coach for the U13 Black team and led the girls to an impressive Bronze Medal finish at Provincials and GPLS. Additional successes came when the team won Gold medals in two other tournaments during the season, showcasing Coach Darrell’s leadership and coaching skills.

Playing Highlights:

Before transitioning to coaching, Coach Darrell, enjoyed a long playing career at the highest levels of Fastpitch Softball across Canada and the United States. Some of his notable achievements include:

• 3 times Canadian Fastpitch Gold
  • 6 times all-Canadian Team selection
  • 1 time Most Valuable Player
• ISC World Fastpitch Gold
• Gold at ASA US Men’s Fastpitch Nationals, with an all-star selection
• Gold at Pan-Am Games as a key member of the Canadian Men’s National Team

 Coaching Philosophy:

Coach Darrell carries a passion for giving back to the game that has enriched his life with positive experiences and enduring friendships. His coaching philosophy is rooted in creating a fun and an inclusive environment for coaches, players, and parents alike.

Coach Darrell is committed to instilling a love for the game in the young athletes he coaches, fostering accountability, and setting high standards. His ultimate goal is to ensure that each player walks away with a robust work ethic, lifelong skills, and the spirit of a highly competitive athlete.

Coach Darrell aims to guide the girls in setting and achieving their expectations and goals, fostering personal and athletic growth on and off the field. He has two girls and comes from West Hill community association.
