Introducing Coach Dwayne, or otherwise known as Coach Dewey, who has not only played softball for over 30+ years in the Nose Creek community, but has also coached highly competitive and successful teams for over 15 years. A true coaching expert, Coach Dewey has led many teams to Provincials, Westerns, and Canadian Championships.
Coaching Highlights
One of his most rewarding coaching experiences was leading Team Alberta at the Western Canada Summer Games in 2019 and the prestigious Canada Summer Games in 2022. He’s also represented Alberta at the 2023 U17 Western Canadian Championships in Winkler, Manitoba. These accomplishments stand as a testament to Coach Dewey’s enduring commitment and dedication to fostering talent at the highest level.
Guided by a trifecta of coaching certifications—Softball Canada Comp Development, Softball Canada Coach Learning Facilitator & Coach Evaluator, and Certified CANpitch instructor - Coach Dewey is a beacon of expertise and mentorship in the softball community. His dedication to our athletes and his willingness to develop and grow them into phenomenal competitors is indicative of the numerous hours he spends coaching athletes on the field, in clinics, and at tournaments.

As a Senior A Men’s Fastball player himself and a fierce competitor, Coach Dewey has not only dominated on the Canadian scene but also showcased on the international stage. He's played in Australia, United States, Europe, and across Canada. He knows what it means to put heart and soul into the game that we all enjoy. He has won numerous pitching awards both locally and internationally. His passion with softball and playing accolades echoes his commitment to excellence. Coach Dewey was also named Adult Fastball Player of the Year with Softball Alberta in 2005. His dedication to our athletes and his willingness to develop and grow these athletes into phenomenal competitors is indicative of the numerous hours he spends coaching athletes on the field, in clinics, and at tournaments.
As Coach Dewey continues to shape the future of softball through coaching clinics, mentorship, and guiding teams to new heights, the impact he has on the softball community will be felt both on and off the field.
