U19 Black - Shane Smith

Introducing Coach Shane, who has 12 years as one of our coveted Kaizen softball coaches. In his time with Kaizen, he has coached many teams and the rewards have certainly paid off. He’s won three Provincial golds, 1 Provincial bronze, two appearances at the National Championship level, a GPLS league Championship and numerous gold medals across Canada and the US. Wow. Impressive? We think so.

With his outstanding coaching record, it’s no wonder that Coach Shane has earned the respect of the softball community. His strong values of respecting the game and always challenging the players, both physically and mentally, brings out the best in all of his athletes. He also wants his players to have fun at practice and at the games. Kaizen is lucky to have someone like Coach Shane on our roster and we know that he is proud to see several Kaizen athletes sign to post-secondary softball all over Canada and the US.
